NIAGARA FALLS, NY- One of nature's rarities has made its home in Western New York.
Lobsters are usually a brownish-red color, but one out of every 30 million or so turn up yellow.
The Aquarium of Niagara now has one of them on display.
It was picked up by a commercial fishery in Rochester that knew it was rare and decided to donate it.
The sunny color is caused by a genetic mutation, said Dan Arcara, supervisor of exhibits at the aquarium.
"There are actually other colored ones," says Arcara," and people think, that's crazy, oh maybe somebody painted it, but that's not the case."
Arcara says there are red, blue and even multicolored lobsters.
